Malmö Jumpin’ Fall is an international swing dance festival where we gather in celebration of African American Vernacular Jazz dance and culture.
Malmö ❤
Malmö is beautiful in the fall! Here is a list of things we enjoy:
- Have a falafel! This is mandatory.
- If you’re brave, have a swim in the sea! We recommend the sauna at Ribersborgs Kallbadhus.
- Have a stroll in the area around Davidshallstorg and visit its many small vintage shops.
- Have dinner at one of the city’s many fantastic veggie restaurants…
- …or why not pay the Disgusting Food Museum a visit?
- Have a picnic in one of the city’s many parks!
History
It all started in 2012, when a small group of people took the first steps in making the workshop come together when they asked teachers Trisha Sewell and Benjamin Cook to come and teach in our scene. The group wanted to create something of their own at their local scene, and inspired by the variety of other workshops. This is how our spring festival, Malmö Spring Jump, was born!
After a decade of successful editions of Malmö Spring Jump, we felt like it was time to shake things up a bit. We wanted something big to look forward to in the colder months of the year, and so Malmö Jumpin’ Fall came to be!
Organisers
Malmö Jumpin’ Fall is organised by the local non-profit organisation Cats’ Corner.
